The Harry Potter Alliance wants YOU to give Nine and Three Quarters! With the global economy disarmed, stupefied, and confunded nonprofits like the Harry Potter Alliance continue to meet financial barriers that get in the way of our work.
That's why we could really use your help!
With a small donation of Nine and Three Quarters ($9.75) you can help us cross these barriers so that we can continue our work of spreading Harry Potter's message of love and justice into the real world.
The HPA's a pretty magical organization. Not only do we show the world the larger meaning of why Harry Potter means so much to us, we truly work together to free the magic of our love and creativity that our Muggle Minded culture would want us to stuff in a cupboard beneath the stairs. In doing so, we have become a Dumbledore's Army that is waking the world up for justice and equality in the real world, the way Dumbledore's Army woke the world up to Voldemort's return. By September we'll have over 50 active chapters on six continents, we communicate with over 100,000 people regularly, and we're just getting warmed up.

Literacy:
donating over 14,000 books across the world, 4,000 of them went to a youth village in Rwanda
Video:
put out hundreds of videos, the best of which were used at the closing ceremonies of the 15th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide in the Rwandan capital of Kigali
Human Rights:
raising over $15,000 to protect thousands of civilians in Darfur and Burma helping our partner group STAND see a 40% increase in high school chapter sign ups and a 52% increase in calls to 1-800-GENOCIDE during a 2 week campaign delivering over three quarters of the 10,000 signatures that UK based Aegis Trust sent to the UN Security Council concerning Darfur putting out a podcast on Darfur that was downloaded over 120,000 times

The Muggle News continue to spread the message of our positive and inspiring approach to activism as we have been featured on the front of CNN.com, Newsweek, three times in the LA Times, the Huffington Post, Christian Science Monitor, Chronicle of Philanthropy, two NY Times best selling books, the front cover of Politico, and Time Magazine where JK Rowling "practically levitates off the couch, spilling her coffee along the way" when asked about the Harry Potter Alliance:"It's incredible, it's humbling, and it's uplifting to see people going out there and doing that in the name of your character"
