National Library Legislative Day

Advocate on National Library Legislative Day!

We’re working with the American Library Association to make sure that great stories and technology are accessible to every community.  A big way we do that is by supporting National Library Legislative Day.  National Library Legislative Day is May 2nd and 3rd, 2016 - but you can advocate for libraries all week long with virtual actions!  Through letters, emails, phone calls, and tweets, we encourage Congress to support strong funding for libraries and other key asks! Not sure what to say? Check out these scripts for letters, calls, and social media!

You can also advocate to your Member of Congress in person by attending NLLD in Washington, D.C.! If you think you'd like to attend IRL, check out the official National Library Legislative Day site for details on schedule and registration.

Not in the U.S.? You can still help libraries in your region! Find out more about library associations, events and ideas for your region of the world in the Chapters Toolkit.

Library Staffers - Bring #NLLD16 to Your Library!

Are you a library staff member? If you’re in the U.S., check out our National Library Legislative Day Resource for Library Staff and learn how to bring Accio Books to your library! Use these fun and easy activities to join the American Library Association, the HPA, and wizard activists across the country as we advocate for school and public libraries!

Are you ready to fight for libraries? Let us know you'll be participating when you RSVP!
