Equality Update
The polls in Maine have closed. The latest that I’ve heard is that the turnout in Maine is unusually high. This should be good news for all of us who are for marriage equality since “the game” here is that in an off-election the people that would most likely vote, are older and more likely to be against marriage equality. More people voting likely means that Prop One has electrified Maine voters and likely, it’s electrified the pro-equality side more so to get out and vote. So this should be good for us. But we shall see. We have done what we can do. Let’s keep the hope up!
Update: Nate Silver at fivethirtyeight.com gives us a 71% chance of winning.
